IMPACT: 50 Years of the Council of Fashion Designers of America

An unexpected aside precipitated by the opening of the exhibition  ”IMPACT: 50 Years of the Council of Fashion Designers of America”. Here are a few pictures taken opening day.  The initial pictures are following the Press Conference on the morning of the opening. I was totally bleary eyed, having celebrated my birthday the previous evening at the Carolina- Duke basketball game in Chapel Hill. Three hours sleep, and then bright lights and high definition cameras are NOT a great combination! There are a couple of pictures taken that evening at the official opening, including dear Bill Cunningham’s shot of Meg and I and our great pal Patricia Underwood, the fab English hat designer, which later graced the pages of the Style Section of the Sunday New York Times. Our plumber here in Connecticut even commented “saw you both looking very well in the New York Times”. (It helps having a plumber who came recommended by Pauline Trigere!!!)

Stay tuned more coming soon…
